ABSTRACTS

I intuitively paint by trusting my process, whether with brush, knife or other mark making tools.  I respond to the marks and colors as they emerge rather than conforming to a preconceived idea.  Color excites and soothes me.

Texture expresses the depth of emotions revealing contrasts in color and form. In the process of layering, I cover and uncover truths. Abstraction allows me the freedom to express what is understood or not known.
